Sheffield Public Library provides the latest bestseller titles in adult and children's fiction along with classics and favorites. We also provide a selection of non-fiction and reference materials for enjoyment or research. In addition to the books we have a great movie and magazine selection for your entertainment!

Free Computer Use and WiFi

The Sheffield Public Library provides free computer and Internet/ WiFi use on our 3 laptops and 1 desktop. Please note that we limit internet usage to 2 hours for games and videos to allow computer availability.

EREAD Program

The Sheffield Public Library is pleased to offer the EREAD program. Available on your tablet are hundreds of titles, it is an excellent way for us to provide you with new reading material right at your fingertips. Please visit the library for assistance in setting up your tablet!

InterLibrary Loan

The Sheffield Public Library is a member of the Prairie Cat Library System. If there is something specific you are looking for and we don't have it, let us check to see if another library does! Movies, music and audio books are included in this as well. Please note: New release books are held back for a certain amount of time before being released for other libraries to borrow.

Summer Reading Program

The Sheffield Public Library's annual summer reading program has been a foundation of summer for many years! The summer reading program is a great way to turn your child's mind on to the joy of reading and learning! Interactive, educational and fun, your children won't want to miss the summer reading program!

Preschool Story Hours

Preschool Story Hour is also available through the Sheffield Public Library. Story Hours provide 1 hour of fun and games along with a story, of course, to children ages 3&4. Offered twice a year Story Hour is a fantastic way to promote the love of reading from an early age!

Copies and Faxes

We have a copy machine/fax machine that is available for public use, no need to have a library card with us. Please note: we do not scan documents into our computer network.
